Willie James Ben, age 56 of Clarksville passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Skyline Medical Center. Sykes Funeral & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. The funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2013 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
He was born December 3, 1956 in Lafayette, LA to the late Verna Ben Moore and the late Wilmer Stephens. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Elva Anderson. He was a CNA in the HealthCare Industry and employed as an Assembly Worker at Martinrea Auto Manufacturer in Pembroke, KY. He was a graduate of Oakdale High School in Oakdale, La and was a Veteran in the US Army.
He is survived by daughter, Tessa (Michael) McGilbra son, Christopher Ben; brother, Lennis Ben; sisters, Pamela Williams (Wheatty) Johnson, Tammy (Kevin) Phyall, ; stepfather, Douglas Moore; grandchildren, Aenias and Anisah McGilbra; nephews, Chadwick (Tanya) Ben, Jason (Marguerita) Ben, Dimitri Williams, Luca Ben, Kevin Phyall, Jr.; nieces, Keisha Williams (Tavares) Garrison, Mia Sumpter, Angelic Williams, Kenisha Phyall and a host of relatives and friends.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
