William "Soapy" Pollard Sr.

A Celebration of Life for William "Soapy" Pollard, Sr., age 86, of Clarksville, TN, will be Friday, April 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Bro. Rocky Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

Soapy passed away on April 13, 2022. He was born on November 18, 1935 in Montgomery County to William and Lillian Harris Pollard. An United States Army veteran and a proud University of Tennessee- Knoxville graduate, Soapy went on to own Soapy's Drive-In, Pollard's Feedstore, teach agriculture at Clarksville High School, and even dabble in Real Estate. He was also a member of Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Soapy loved spending time with his family, farming, fishing, and horses.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Myrtle Jane Meek. Soapy is survived by his wife of 27 years, Dorothy Sleigh Pollard; children: Judy (Larry) Harrison, Bill (Susan) Pollard, Brad (Dana) Crowe, Bob (Louanne) Pollard, and Ben (Amanda) Pollard; grandchildren: Rachael, Amy, William, Ashley, John Bradley, Jack, Sam, Sean, Chandler, Faith, Staycee, Grace, and Beth; and great-granddaughter, Meredith.
