William Shepherd

William Bryant Shepherd, age 77 of Lakeland, FL passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Zephyrhills Hospital in Zephyrhills, FL. Sykes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Daniels officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 and 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Dotsonville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
He was born in Dotsonville, TN on August 6, 1937 to the late James Oliver and Mary Evelyn Patterson Shepherd. He was also preceded in death by a son, Randal Shepherd. He was a Baptist, a member of the Moose Lodge and the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Javona Byrd Shepherd; brother, Alvin (Louise) Shepherd; sisters, Patricia (Roland) Schultz, Daisy Reaves, Charlotte Foster and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
