William Robinson, Ii

A Celebration of Life for William Carlton Robinson , II, will be Monday, August 9, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Elder Samuel Anderson, Sr. will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:30 at the funeral home and again on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

William was born in Jacksonville, FL to Samuel and Ruby Daniels Robinson on September 22, 1950. He passed on August 1, 2021.

William started his career as a Merchant Seaman and later went on to join the United States Army. He finished his civil service career upon retiring from the United States Postal Service. William was a 32nd Degree Mason with East Star Masonic Lodge #1 in Nashville, TN and a past patron of Mt. Pisgah Chapter #3 Nashville, TN OES. He was a deacon at Amazing Grace Apostolic Church and enjoyed being with his family, fishing, and word searches.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Martin Robinson. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Andrea Mack Robinson; son, William Robinson, III; daughter, Salena Vaughn; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; siblings: Claudette, Lynnette, Trazelle, Samuel, Paulyn, and Barbara; best friend Ralph Young; and many nieces, nephews, and loving family members and friends.
