Wilda R. Slaughter - 1926 Wilda R. Slaughter, 84, Clarksville, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Montgomery Care & Rehab. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shaun Trescott officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyview Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Slaughter was born April 5, 1926 in Stewart County, daughter of Smith and Wilma Robinson Richardson. She was preceded in death by her husband John Slaughter, son Earl Slaughter, and four brothers, L. G. Richardson, Mickey Richardson, Norris Richardson and Billy Richardson. She was a homemaker and member of Sunnyview Baptist Church. Mrs. Slaughter is survived by her daughter Debra Kay (Cecil) James of Clarksville and sister Joyce Dunn of Southside. She has two grandchildren, Michael and Greg King, and one great grandchild Victoria King. Pallbearers will be Cary Dunn, Todd Dunn, Bobby Richardson, Scott Richardson, Bryan Richardson, Delma Atkins and Cody Dunn. www.sykesfuneralhome.com
