Funeral service for Whitmel Sharrock "Rocky" Cobb III, age 73 of Clarksville, will be Monday, Dec 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Paul Edwards will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec 27, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home and Monday from 11:00am until the time of service.
Rocky passed away on Sunday, Dec 20, 2015 at his residence. He was born on Nov 07, 1942 in Birmingham, AL to Whitmel Sharrock Cobb II and Mary Alvis Garrison Cobb. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a retired teacher. He coached football for over 40 years for Ft. Campbell, Clarksville, and Northwest High Schools.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Harrison Cobb; Son, Whitmel Sharrock (Melanie) Cobb IV; Daughter, Amanda Pearl Swan; Brother, William Charles (Carol) Cobb; Grandchildren, Lilli Cobb, Zoe Cobb, Whitmel Sharrock Cobb V
