Charles Warren Smith, age 91, of Clarksville passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Sykes Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Madewell officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 29, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
He was born in Montgomery County, TN on July 25, 1921 to the late O.W. (Buster) and Pearl Yarbrough Smith. He was a farmer and retired Shipping Foreman with Frosty Morn and Acme Boot Companies. He also was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of VFW Post 4895.
He is survived by wife of 67 years, Mary Hall Smith; children, Pat (Gary) Hoss, Kenneth (Kaycee) Smith; grandchildren, Jennifer (Steven) Demonbreun, Kyle Smith, Kelsey Smith, Mike Wallace, Kellie (Ethan) Wilding; great-grandchildren, Braedyn Demonbreun, Brylee Demonbreun and Zela Wilding.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Smith, Gary Hoss, Steven Demonbreun, Larry Hall, Kevin Hall and Tommy Hall. Honorary Pallbearers will be Howard Smith, Raymond Hall, Wesley Hall and Buford Britt.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mount Herman Baptist Church Building Fund, 2204 Jarrell Ridge Road, Clarksville, TN 37043.
