Warren Bryan Corbin, age 77 of Clarksville passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at his residence. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Sykes Funeral Home with Rev. Jon Justice officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at the Funeral Home.
He was born November 13, 1935 in Midland City, AL to the late Wallace Corbin and Pearl Lowman. He was preceded in death by brother, James Corbin; sister, Molly DeAngelo; step-father, Walter Lowman and step-mother, Orris Corbin.
He was raised in Miami Springs, Fl. He served in the 187th Airborne Division as a paratrooper from 1955 to 1957 at Fort Campbell where he met his wife of 55 years, Laverne Nicholson. He was a police officer with the Surfside Police Department on Miami Beach, FL for 32 years. He earned a degree in Police Science & Criminalogy at Dade County College. He retired in 1993 and moved to Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife, Laverne Nicholson Corbin; brothers, Wayne (Gerry) Corbin of Cape Coral, FL, Walter (Eloise) Lowman, Jr. of Miami, FL; sister, Iris Corbin of Denver, CO; sisters-in-law, Donna (Hicks) Allen of Chapmansboro, TN, Doris (Ed) Hinkle off Clarksville, TN and several nieces and nephews.
