After a short illness at Christian Care community, Mr. Poe passed on December 20, 2017. He was the son of Edwin and Mary Catherine Poe and a long time resident of Hopkinsville.
Ed served in the US Coast guard fromJune 1955- June 1959
Married to Ann Crouch Poe, they have three children. Wallace Edwin Poe, Jr (Wynn) his wife Alisa. Hebron , Ky. William Beaumont Poe (Monty) Montgomery Al. and Daughter Kathryn Poe Ison and her husband, Bob, Hopkinsville. Mr. Poe has 4 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mr Poe was an avid fisherman and golfer. He was a member of the Jaycees, a Kentucky Colonel,a Mason and a retired Special deputy of the Christian County Sheriffs department.
A private memorial service will be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with a Celebration of Life gathering in the near future.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations in Mr. Poe’s memory be made to Grace Episcopal church, 216 east 6th street Hopkinsville Ky. 42240
