W. Floyd Ferrell, 79, Clarksville, died Thursday, January 1, 2009, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday with Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Mr. Ferrell was born April 12, 1929 in Montgomery County son of the late Gobel Ferrell and Nettie Powell Ferrell. In addition to his parents Mr. Ferrell was predeced in death by brothers Cecil Ferrell, Biddy Ferrell and granddaughter Jessica Faye Maxwell. Mr. Ferrell was a retired Barber and a member of 1st Baptist Church. Mr. Ferrell is survived by his wife of 51 years Wanda Ferrell; sons Brent Ferrell and Jeffrey Ferrell both of Clarksville; daughter Tammy Walsh of Cape Coral, FL; granchildren Jennifer Maxwell, Adam Maxwell, Holly Ferrell, Jordin Forgays, Scott Ferrell, Cameron Forgays, Peyton Ferrell and Kirsten Ferrell. Memorial donations may be made to Vanderbilt Cancer Center, Sarah Cannon Cancer Center or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
