Vella B. Burns Dial, age 95, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, February 01, 2012 at Spring
Meadows Nursing Home. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A private family service will
be held at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Sykes Funeral Home
and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dial was born February, 8 1916 in Elkton, KY to the late Annie Burns. She was also preceeded
in death by her husband Arthur Vernon Dial; brother, Jack Burns and sister, Nellie Mae Lyle.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son, William Michael (Shirley) Dial of Concord, NC; a daughter, Doris Sybil (Terry)
Hester of Salisbury, NC; 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
