Valerie Ann Drummond, 73, Clarksville, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Dover, Tennessee with Father Gaffney officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be conducted at St. Francis of Assisi on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Mrs. Drummond was born June 8, 1937 in Vermont, daughter of the late Rene C. LaFromboise and Hazel G. Gover LaFromboise. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Giles LaFramboise and a sister, Patricia Eldred.
Mrs. Drummond was a retired Nurse and an active member in the Catholic Church including the ladies activities. She is survived by her husband, James E. Drummond of Clarksville, sons; Remi (Karin) Drummond and Eric (Alexander) Drummond both of Germany, grandchildren; Leah and Mick who are very special to Valerie. Mrs. Drummond is also survived by brothers; Bernard (Margaret) LaFromboise, Francis (Jean) LaFromboise, Joseph (Joan) LaFromboise, Rene LaFromboise (Marion) sisters; Marie LaFromboise and Theresa (Steve) Blair all of Vermont, nieces; Maryann (David) Cline of Clarksville, Renea (David) Lawman of Alabama, and great nieces; Taylor, Ashley and Sharon who are special to her.
