Memorial services for George David Thompson, age 84 of Clarksville, will be 3:00 pm, Saturday August 01, 2015, at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Cynthia Talley will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday Aug. 1st from 1:00 pm until the time of service at Sykes Funeral Home.
Mr. Thompson passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at his residence. He was born on Nov 19, 1930 in Seattle, WA. He was a retired SSGT from the US Army and served in the Viet Nam War.
He is survived by his life partner and loving wife of 49 years, Elaine Thompson; daughters, Sheryl Dee (Darryl) Bostick, Melody (Greg) Mohigh, Michele (Charles) Roberts, Beverly (John) Taylor; son, Michael (Chi Suk) Garner; niece, Heidi (Craig) Muller; 9 grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother Carl Thompson.
