Trona Denny

July 23, 1956 — January 26, 2025

Trona Lee Denny, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, proceeded to the glories of heaven on the 26th of January 2025. Trona was well known for her strong-willed nature, generosity towards others, and her undeniable loving spirit she brought into the world.

Born in Cortez, CO on July 23, 1956, Trona later moved to Utah with her family where she was raised and attended school at the College of Eastern Utah. A few short years later, she met and married the love of her life, Brett Denny, on July 15, 1978. They went on to raise their three children, one son and two daughters, in Paonia, Colorado where they resided for several years, before Trona relocated to Tennessee in 2020.

Trona began her career as a bookkeeper, providing her with the experience to later serve in various financial roles throughout her lifetime; her work ethic and dedication to her career were truly extraordinary. Following her retirement, Trona found fulfillment working part time, at Nissan Stadium, F&M Bank Arena, and Bridgestone Arena in Tennessee. She attended countless events, to include concerts, sports and many other memorable experiences. She was a devoted fan of the Colorado Avalanche and Nashville Predators, and loved the Green Bay Packers, cheering them on with great enthusiasm. Her true passion was tending to her gardens of both flowers and vegetables, to share with her family and friends, hosting countless gatherings, growing her cherished wine collection and showing off her impressive level of artistic ability in all things. She also had a deep love of nature, especially for the breathtaking mountains of Colorado.

Trona's unmatched appetite for life deeply impacted those around her. Her smile, her laughter, her beautiful blue eyes and infamous curly hair and most of all her unwavering devotion and love for her family and friends, will be forever missed.

Trona is survived by her son Brandon (Katie) Denny, her daughter Tomi Bear and her daughter Charly (Eli) Roby, sixteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, and her sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, cousins and many, many dear friends. Her legacy and loving spirit will carry on for generations to come.

Trona is preceded in death by Brett Denny (Husband), Thomas Roofe (Biological Father), Jerald & Loretta Pollock (Parents), Joe & Juanita Pollock (Paternal Grandparents), Vernon and Viola Roofe (Paternal Grandparents), James and Berniece Wheeler (Maternal Grandparents).
