Timothy Treadway

Timothy Carey Treadway, Sr., age 53, of Clarksville, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, after a brave battle with cancer.
Tim was born March 23, 1963, in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Harold Thomas Treadway and Paula Jean Treadway. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Daphne Isley Treadway; their two children, Timothy Carey Treadway, II and Taylor Caroline Treadway; surrogate parents, Lowell and Beverly Barnhart of Augusta, Georgia; and brother, Michael Steven Treadway of Los Angeles, California.
Tim attended Curtis Baptist High School in Augusta, Georgia. He went on to the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia, and later received his master’s degree from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. Tim worked in various finance positions in the corporate field before moving to Clarksville in 1998, where he has worked for privately owned businesses for the last 18 years. His most recent position was the Chief Financial Officer of Shoals Technologies in Portland, Tennessee.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, at 5:00 pm at the Sykes Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville. Lifetime friend, Rev. Tim Smith of Cartersville, Georgia, will be officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ron Sleigh, Clarksville TN; Jimmy Henderson, Dallas Tx; Josh Nix, Chattanooga TN; Trey Stewart, Sandersville GA; Dean Solon, Goodletsville TN; Michael Treadway, Los Angles CA. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until the hour of service.
The family has requested that memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, be made to Timothy and Taylor’s educational fund. Donations are accepted at Cumberland Bank & Trust in Clarksville, Tennessee.
