Thomas Mitchell Watkins, 52, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2014 after a brief illness. Tom was born in Kansas City Missouri on March 14, 1962. He spent his younger years in Lafayette, LA and was residing in Clarksville, TN at the time of his death. Tom served in the army in the early 1980s. He was a long time employee of Total Tower in Lafayette and was employed by Swift Industrial Power in Clarksville at the time of his death. Tom enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and working on classic cars and trucks. Tom loved his son, Heath, and was looking forward to the birth of another grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Watkins, two brothers Troy and Todd Watkins, and his paternal grandparents Jo and Woody Watkins. He is survived by son Heath Watkins; grandson Draven Watkins; future daughter-in-law Lori Holliday; future step grandson Richard Dean; father and stepmom Joe & Pat Watkins; uncle and aunt Terry & Jan Watkins; sister and brother-in-law Ann & Mark Mitchell; step-sister and brother-in-law, Wendi & Buddy Lloyd; nieces and nephews Ana & Chris Watkins and Katie & Jimmy Lloyd; first cousin Jamie Watkins & family, and stepdaughter Tabitha Dautreuil. He is also survived by girlfriend, Beth Wilkerson, and her children Katie & Wesley Holliday and granddaughter Skyler. Internment of ashes and graveside services will be held privately.
