Teresa Tinsley

A Celebration of Life service for Teresa Ann Tinsley, age 67, of Clarksville, TN, will be Monday, February 6, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Rose Taylor and Minister Demetrius Holland will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Teresa, “Nama” to those who knew her well, was born on October 16, 1955. She passed away on February 2, 2023, surrounded by her family. Teresa worked at several trucking companies before she and her husband opened their own businesses, Danny’s East College Towing and TNT Towing. They were instrumental in the development of the Montgomery County Towing Association. Teresa and her husband worked alongside each other from 1995, until retiring in 2019. She then began assisting Tennessee Cremation Care and Greenwood Cemetery in their day-to-day operations.

Teresa was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, bunco, crossword puzzles, and riding back roads and visiting casinos with her husband. She was a collector of charms and each one had a special meaning to her. Her greatest joy was spending time with her three granddaughters and making memories they would cherish forever.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Walp, Sr.; mother, Barbara Jean Walp Jones; brother, George Walp; and sister, Linda Cunningham. Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Danny Tinsley; children: Yolonda Wall, Jennifer (Aaron) Trammell, Ricky (Carol) Tinsley, and Greg Tinsley; grandchildren: Arian Way, Katlyn and Adisyn Trammell, and Bridget, Alexis, and Zachary Tinsley; siblings, Robert Walp, Jr. and William Jones; and many dear friends.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Trammell, Dalton Johns, Billy Jones, Brad Albaugh, James McGee, and George Byard. Honorary pallbearers will be Bradley Burkhart, Kelton Wright, and Ryan Puryear.
