Steven Walter Bowers, 61, Clarksville, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at his residence.
The funeral will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday at Sykes Funeral Home with Rev. Jon Justice officiating.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. Thursday at Sykes Funeral Home at Sykes Funeral Home.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bowers was born in Ft. Wayne, IN on February 18, 1948 to the late Herbert Bowers and Jessie Holloway Bowers. He was also preceded in death by a sister Teresa Jean Bowers, 2 infant sons and a stepson, Aron Wygant.
He served in the US Army and most recently was employed by Wal-Mart.
Other than his mother Jessie Holloway Bowers, he is survived by his wife, Barbary Grimm Bowers; sons, Steven (Denise) Bowers, Bryan Scott (Amy) Bowers; stepsons, Malcom Barry (Julie) Wygant, Terry (Diana) Garstka; sisters, Roxanne (John) Chilcote, Vickie (Richard) Francies, Barbara (Norman) Hirschy; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
