Stanley Smith

Stanley Dale Smith, 62, Clarksville, died Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a brief illness. No services are planned. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Smith was born July 26, 1947 in Graceville, FL and was preceded in death by his father, Jeral B. Smith and his granddaughter, Kimberly L. Smith.
He was a flight simulator instructor for 35 years, retiring in 2003. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed camping in Florida, hunting, and cooking for his family.
He is survived by his wife: Janice Redmon Smith; children, Jeral S.(Kim) Smith of Clarksville, TN, Michael B. Smith of Ashland City, TN, Johnna B. Daniels and Carrie C. Smith both of Clarksville; grandchildren, Jessica (John) Sweeney of Kileen, TX, Eliza Smith, Cheyanne Smith, Ethan Daniels, and Jonathan Daniels; great-grandchildren, Kyla Sweeney and Michaela Sweeney; mother, Katie Miller Smith, Pace, FL; sister Patricia (Marvin) Fowler of Pace, FL; mother-in-law, Betty Pelham (Ernest) Baker of Pensacola, FL; father-in-law, John (Frances) Redmon; sisters-in-law and special brother-in-law, Ann and Jerry Gray, Sandra Tomlinson, Pensacola, FL, Joan Redmon and brother-in-law John (Amy) Redmon of Jacksonville, FL; special friends, Robert Van (Betty) Dobbs and Ross (Dorathy) Edlin, and several nieces and nephews.
