Staff Sgt. Bryan Bolander, 26, Clarksville, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, in Northwest Baghdad, Iraq. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Capt. James O'Dell officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Staff Sgt. Bolander was born October 17, 1981, in Santa Ana, Calif., son of Toni Rossean Kahrmann. He was an Airborne Ranger attached with the 1/502nd, 2nd BCT, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Toni Rossean Kahrmann of Clarksville; son, Tyler Bolander of St. Louis, Mo.; fiancee, Sandra Comer; stepson, Alex Dudley; stepdaughter, Ashley Dudley, all of Clarksville; brothers, Brandon Bolander of Harrison, Ark., and Dustin Harris of Montana; sisters, Stefanie LaRue, Jenna Kahrmann and Zehrah Kahrmann, all of Clarksville; maternal grandmother, Frances Rossean of Calif.; paternal grandparents, Jack and Dorothy Bolander of Nevada. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bryan's name to the Patriot Guard Riders c/o Annette Bobeck, 133 Cherokee Court, Antioch, TN 37013.
