Ssg James Collier, Army (Ret)

A celebration of life service for SSG James A Collier, ARMY (Ret), age 72 of Clarksville, will be Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from Noon until the hour of service. James passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at his residence. He was born on July 29, 1946 in Frederick, OK to Jimmy and Ivory Castle Collier. James retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service and two tours in Vietnam where he earned a Combat Infantry Badge. He also retired from Civil Services. He enjoyed playing golf, pool, and the bass guitar. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Renee Kalauokaaea Collier; children: James Collier, Jr., Raimond Kalauokaaea, Reginald Collier, Kenna Jackson, and Janee Wilson; brothers, Hayward Collier and Ramond Collier; and 8 grandchildren.
