SSG Rudy LaVerl Edens, Sr., ARMY (Ret)

A Celebration of Life service for SSG Rudy LaVerl Edens, Sr., ARMY (Ret), age 88, of Clarksville, TN, will be Friday, December 22, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens where full military honors will be rendered. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Rudy was born on April 5, 1935 in Ben Hur, VA, to Ora and Margaret Edens. He passed away on December 16, 2023. Rudy, a Vietnam Veteran, retired from the United States Army after more than 20 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, fishing, and traveling. 

In addition to Rudy's parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Edens; son, Rudy Edens, Jr.; and daughter, Delores Edens Biaz. Rudy is survived by his sons: Richard (Sandy) Edens, Michael Edens, and Paul (Wendy) Edens; sisters: Nina Edens, Wanda Edens, and Sharon Hobbs; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
