SSG Ladislao Santamaria, ARMY (Ret)

A Celebration of Life service for SSG Ladislao Santamaria, ARMY (Ret), age 76, of Clarksville, TN, will be Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 12:00PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West where full military honors will be rendered. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until the time of service.

Ladislao, affectionately known as Leo, was born on September 29, 1948, in Colon, Panama to Ladislao and Raimunda Santamaria who preceded him in death. He passed away on March 6, 2025. He was a Vietnam veteran and participated in many Wounded Warrior Project events with his cycling friends.

Leo is survived by his wife Lucia Sayas Santamaria; children: Melissa (Oliver) Pokk, Ladislao (Marisol) Santamaria, and Mirelys (Ferdinand) Grimm; brother, Ismael "Chino" Santamaria; sister, Victoria (Kevin) Hawkins; grandchildren: Jonathan (Ariana) Pokk, Joshua (Nicole) Pokk, Jasmina (Grayson) Gorski; Kayla Santamaria, Joaquin Santamaria, Marcelo Santamaria, Andres Santamaria, Geneva Grimm, and Lucas Grimm; great-grandchildren, Tobias, Thea, Jonah, Rosalee, and August; and many nieces, nephews, and siblings and other relatives in Panama.
