SSG Grover Edgar Ward, ARMY (Ret)

A Celebration of Life service for SSG Grover Edgar Ward, ARMY (Ret), age 91, of Clarksville, TN, will be Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Hopkinsville, KY, with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Grover was born on June 19, 1933, in Lewisville, AR to William and Lillie Ward. He passed away on November 19, 2024. Grover retired from the United States Army after 22 years of service with time spent in Korea and Vietnam. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, home improvements, working on cars and vegetable gardening. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 11 siblings and his grandson, Jeremy Parker. Grover is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Trini Lopez Ward and children: Tylan Ward, Theresa Ward Parker and her husband Terry, and Kenneth Ward.
