William Norris Greene, Sr., age 83, of Clarksville, TN passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Centennial Medical Center. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday at the Funeral Home. A burial will be held at a later date.
He was born February 22, 1930 in Cumberland Furnace, TN to the late Bishop Alzo and Myra Evelyn Jones Greene. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Kay Greene. He was retired from Acme Boot Company with 45 ½ years of service and a Farmer.
He is survived by children, William Norris "Bill" Greene, Jr. (Deadra), Elsie Mae Greene, Connie Lynn Durr (Marshall); 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tennessee School for the Deaf, 2725 Island Home Blvd., Knoxville, TN 37920.
