MSgt. (Ret) Ralph Wilburn Davis, Sr., 85, Clarksville, died Friday, September 18, 2009, at his residence. A private service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Mr.Davis was born October 16, 1923 in Seaboard, NC, son of the late Ira Leroy and Dosia Elizabeth Jones Davis. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaretha Kaatz Davis, and brothers William Randolph Davis and Leon Jones.
After retiring from the U. S. Army Mr. Davis owned a service station. He is survived by his son Ralph (Suann C.) Wilburn Davis, Jr.; daughters Linda (Forest D.)Davis Henley; and Barbara (Michael A. Fant, Sr.) Davis Fant. His grandchildren are Forest D (Donnie) Henley, II; Michael A. Fant, Jr.; Jacquelyn A. Fant; Jacob A. Fant; Emily C.Davis and Maxwell J. Davis. Great grandchildren are Kayla E.Henley and Forest D. (Trey) Henley, III. Other survivors include his brother Wayland Buxton Davis. Sisters Jean Davis Warren; Carolyn Sanders; Shirley Lewis and Sylvia Mann.
