MSG (Ret.) William David Cooper, Sr., age 61, of Cedar Hill passed away, Saturday, May 31, 2014 at his residence. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Justice officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
He was born March 12, 1953 in Scottsfield, Ky to the late William Thomas Cooper, Jr. and the late Wilma Jewel Jackson Cooper.
He served and retired from the US Army. He was also retired from Civil Service at Ft. Campbell, KY. He was a Baptist, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Wills Cooper; sons William David (Natalie) Cooper, Jr., Stewart Cooper (fiancé©, Stevie); brother, Dale Cooper; sisters, Diane (Gary) Strunk, Freda Cooper; grandchildren, Gabriel Cooper, Sarah Cooper and his former wife, Pam Cooper.
Military will serve as Pallbearers.
