Sidney Harris

A Celebration of Life service for Sidney Harris, age 64 of Clarksville, will be Saturday, Dec 12, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Pleasant View Baptist Church. Pastors Jerry Jeter and Matt Harris will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery .  The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec 11, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home and again on Saturday from 12:00 pm until the hour of service at Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Sidney passed away on Tuesday, Dec 08, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center.  He was born on Jul 11, 1951 in Clarksville, TN to Furman and Sallie Harris. He was a devoted member of Pleasant View Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and Sunday School Director during his membership. Sid had a steadfast love for his family, his church, and for people in general. He also loved doing for others. With such an outgoing personality, strangers quickly became friends. His kind spirit and loving heart will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Joe Harris, and sister, Emily Suiter. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Connie, and  two sons, Aaron, and his wife Karen of Greenbrier, and Nathan of Madison. brother, Jimmy and his wife, Shirley, and sisters, Betty Couch and her husband, Doyle, and Frances Couch, grandchildren; Jordan, Noah, Piper, and Brody. He is also survived by many precious nieces and nephews whose lives he touched in so many ways. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church in his memory to any of the following; Family Life Center, Brotherhood, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, India Missions, or the Youth Extreme Conference.
