Shirley Marie Miles Hicks, age 56 of Palmyra, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011 at her daughters residence in Indian Mound. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Baggetts Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. Burial will follow in the Baggetts Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Hicks was born August, 25, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN to the late William Lewis Miles and Gladys Marie Haynes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wayne Hicks, Sr. and half-sister Margaret Miles Knight.
She was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Signature Healthcare in Erin, TN.
She is survived by son, Jerry Hicks, Jr; daughter, Shirley (James) Wolfe; sisters, Wanda (James) Blake, Darlene (Gene) Lavigne; brother, Ricky Miles; grandsons, Manuel and Gavin Wolfe; nephews, Lewis Miles, Shane Lagerquist; niece, Tina (Dustin) Howell.
