Sherry Decenso

A Celebration of Life service for Sherry DeCenso, 74, of Clarksville, TN, will be Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Sherry was born in Fostoria, Ohio on September 18, 1946 to Jeanette Swartzlander and George Swineheart. She passed away on September 7, 2021.  Sherry lived life to the fullest. She was always the life of the party. She loved to dance, anytime the music started she would get up and dance the night away. She loved singing, going to auctions and eating at new buffets. She was a long time member of Hilldale Baptist Church of Clarksville, TN.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Candice Himes; uncles: Gerald Cook, Ronald Cook, and Clair Cook; and her aunt, Charlotte Elder. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Zaneta (Thomas) Brennan, son Bryan DeCenso, siblings Marie Fowler and Danette Whitehead of Fairborn, OH, grandchildren Aleighsa Helmsderfer and Mason Brennan, nephews Matthew Himes of Dayton, OH, David Whitehead of Flagstaff, AZ, and niece Lori Moore of Fairborn, OH, numerous cousins, and best friend Julie Lewis of King and Queen County, VA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Loaves and Fishes of Clarksville.
