SGM (Ret.) Jackie Meredith Harlow, age 84 of Clarksville passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Lonnie Penrod officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Harlow was born May 14, 1930 in Del Rio, TX to the late Albert Morris and Marie Nora Harlow. He was also preceded in death by one half brother, Wayne Hunt; sisters, Collen Ellen Maloy and Shirley Jean Harlow.
He was retired from the US Army. He was in the Occupation Forces in Japan after WWII, Korean War and served two tours in Viet Nam.
He was a Christian.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Griffey Harlow; and daughter, Rev. Janet Denise Harlow.
Military will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eddie Sinks, David Griffey, Jerry Castleberry, Joe Neblett and Gene Griffey.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Charitable Organization of your choice.
