Sgm Harry Thompson, Army (Ret)

A Celebration of Life for SGM Harry Donald Thompson, ARMY (Ret), 87, of Clarksville, will be Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Pastors Haksoo Kim and Tom Hughes will officiate. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veteran's West Cemetery where full military honors will be rendered. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Harry was born on June 7, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA to Harry Samuel and Margaret Robinson Thompson who precede him in death. He passed away on October 7, 2021. He was an United States Army veteran with 28 years of service including time in Vietnam. Harry was a Bronze Star recipient and enjoyed spending time with his wife, fishing, and traveling.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jean Thompson; daughter, Mia (Martin) York; sisters, Dolores Theriault and Dorothy Richardson; grandson, Chris Chunn; great-grandchildren: Trevor Chunn, Jackson Chunn, and Ava Chunn.
