SFC (Ret) Spencer Douglas Adair, 61 of Clarksville, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at his home.  A Memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, October 7, 2015 4:00 PM at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 2526 Whitfield Road, Clarksville, TN with Pastor Matt Brown officiating.  Full military honors will follow.

Spence was born January 17, 1954 in Santa Ana, California son of the late Homer L. Adair and the late Thelma L. Jones Adair.  He is a  veteran of the United States Marine Corps and retired from the United States Army.  Following his 20 year military career, he went back to school for a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  Spence worked as an accountant, most recently at the Clarksville Montgomery County Public Library.  He studied martial arts, enjoyed restoring his 1972 "Cuda", golfing, amusement parks, photography, gardening, cooking, music, playing guitar, and became a fan of Rock Band, Xbox Golf and recently enjoyed crafting para-cord bracelets and key chains.  And a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan.  Spence loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Adair is survived by his wife Nancy D. Olson Adair, sons; Shaun D.(Samantha) Adair and Scott D. Adair all of Clarksville and daughter; Bunny L.(Fred) Harlan of Ligonier, PA, a  brother; Frank (Gaylene) Parrish of Dodd City, TX, sisters; Deborah Rice of Bells, TX and Cora Massey of Brashear, TX and granddaughters; Beth, Allie,Taylor, Hailey, Kaitlyn and Peyton.
