Sfc Marvin Holt, Army (Ret)

A Celebration of Life service for SFC Marvin Eugene Holt, ARMY (Ret), age 79, of Adams, TN, will be Friday, September 9, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens where full military honors will be rendered. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a Masonic Service at 6:30 PM, and again on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Marvin was born on September 21, 1942, in Robertson County, TN, to Charlie and Lucille Miles Holt.  He passed away on September 3, 2022. Marvin retired from the United States Army and was a master mechanic. He also owned and operated Holt's Gun Repair and was a member of Stroudsville Church of Christ. Marvin loved tinkering with motors, hunting, and traveling.

In addition to his parents, Marvin is preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Sharp. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margie Parker Holt; daughters, Lisa Ward and Susan (Mike) Myers; sisters, Juanita Spurlock and JoAnne Paulk; grandchildren, Lindsey Madewell and Laura (Michael) Cook; and great-grandchildren: Landen, Kendallyn, Jayden, Bryson, and Brooklynn.
