Sfc George Schwab, Army (Ret)

A Celebration of Life service for SFC George Washington Schwab, ARMY (Ret) age 73 of Clarksville, will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY where full military honors will be rendered. George passed away on April 1, 2021. He was born on January 5, 1948 in Turtle Creek, PA to John and Martha Hall Schwab who precede him in death.

George retired from the United States Army after 23 years. He served in Vietnam and Desert Storm. George enjoyed fishing, having BBQ's with family and friends, and going to the casino.

George is preceded in death by his sister, Martha Shapter. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy Schwab; sons, Robert Schwab and George (Aris) Schwab; grandchildren: Rylan, Savannah, Beckham, and Kinsley; siblings: John L. Schwab, Patricia Gobitz, Edna Kiviniemi, and Gordon Schwab.
