SFC William "Bill" Huggins, ARMY, (Ret)

A Celebration of Life service for SFC William Huggins, ARMY (Ret), age 76 of Clarksville, TN, will be Monday, December 11, 2023 at 3:30 pm at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:30 pm until the time of service. William passed away on December 5, 2023. He was born on August 21, 1947 in Leake County, MS to Charles and Floice Huggins who preceded him in death.

William was retired from the United States Army after serving multiple tours in Vietnam and Germany as a communications specialist. After retirement he was employed by AAFFES for 2 years, Beach Oil Company for 2 years, and retired for a second time from Walmart store 1075 after 20 years. William enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, traveling, and studying genealogy.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Sue Huggins; daughter, Melonie Huggins; siblings: Junior, Billy, James, Bernice, and Annie; and adopted child: Dale Jacks. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Susanna) Huggins; siblings: Issac, and Mancil (Bobbi Jo) Deason, Hazel (Willie) Spence, Mandy Rone, and Peggy Winstead; adopted children: Wendy Gibbs, Adrianna Martinez, Kathryn (Johnnie) Cable, Erin Burns, and Kim (JR) Jacks; grandchildren: Scott (Shannon) Rives, Jonnie Wyatt, Matthew Wyatt, Jamie Pretty, Novelle (Morgan) Flippen, Daniel Corzine, Sheena (Victor) Corzine, Dakota (Haileigh) Brown, Juliette Duncheskie, Desi Martinez, Tatyana (Christian) Bellido, Christopher Carre, Madison Carre, Kyle Gibbs, Chevy Terrill; 15 great grandchildren; special friend, Virginia Netherton; step-son, Christopher Netherton; in-laws: George (Kathy) Janssen, Gloria (Walter) Dowiak, and Margaret Lognion.
