Sarah Jeanette Morse was born to David and Allie Williams in Gleason, TN on November 2nd, 1939. She was the youngest of four siblings and she was beloved as the baby by her sister, Joyce Hardesty, and her brothers, Lloyd and Joe Williams. After her father passed Sarah and her mother followed her siblings to Michigan to work in the car factory at General Motors. Sarah married William Morse and fulfilled what she believed to be her life’s purpose in becoming a mother to five children: Sherry Hamilton (Doug), Teresa Jackson, Nicole Morse (Matt), Brent Morse (Brenna), and Craig Morse (Tiffany.) Together with her husband and children she traversed the country many times over and lived in several states before returning to Tennessee for good. Her family grew exponentially over the course of her 85 years. She became a grandmother to 14 and a great-grandmother to 4. In her final moments as the matriarch of a four generation family, she was surrounded by all of those generations as she passed on to heaven with assurance that she was loved and that we knew she had loved us all so deeply too. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband, and her youngest daughter, Nicole. She leaves behind an amazing legacy of laughter, silliness, resilience, stubborn fearlessness, and a whole-hearted love for her family.
