Sarah Irene Martin, age 85 of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, formerly of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Davis Life Care Center, Pine Bluff.
Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday at Sykes Funeral Home with Bro.Geoffrey Sikes officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Nashville. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. till service time Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Martin was born November 28, 1925 in Clinton, TN. She was the daughter of the late Logan and Celia Richardson Goins. She was a homemaker and a member of Madison Street Church of Christ. She was a member of Bearden Chapter of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gene Martin and a son, Donald Lane Martin.
Survivors include son, Tommy Ogles and wife Penny of Norris, TN., daughter, Beth Gunter of Pine Bluff, AR; daughter-in-law, Darlene Martin of Columbia, SC: 2 grandchildren, Beth's daughter, Sarah Jane and Michael Helton of Frisco, TX; Donald and Patty's son, Donald Layne and Leslie Martin II of Franklin, TN; and 1 great grandchild- Reese.
