Funeral service for Sara Fern Maddox, age 81 of Clarksville, will be Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Brewer's Chapel United Methodist Church. Rev. Bill Redding will officiate. Burial will follow in the Brewers Chapel United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home.
Sara Fern passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Boulevard Terrace Rehab & Nursing. She was born on Jan 05, 1936 in Cheatham County, TN to Lloyd Mason Evans Sr. and Mabel (Ford) Evans. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lee Maddox and one sister Louise Stotts and one brother, Lloyd Evans Jr. She was a retired nurse from Clarksville Memorial Hospital with 32 years service.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Randy) Groce; brothers, Billy Evans and Louis Evans; sister, LaJune Dever; grandchildern, William (Kelly) Groce and Christopher Groce.
