Funeral service for Sadie Mae Simpson Mathis, age 104 of Erin, will be Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Erin Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Sadie passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Signature Health Care. She was born on February 15, 1912 in Stewart County, TN to E.H. and Dora Hackworth Simpson. She was an active member in her Sunday school and choir at Erin Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Bailey G. Mathis.
She is survived by her brother, Lafayette (Bessie) Simpson and many nieces and nephews.
