Funeral services for Ruby G. Brown, age 98 of Clarksville, will be Friday, May 06, 2016 at 1:30 pm at Sykes Funeral Home . Rev. Mitchell Allen will officiate. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 05, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home and Friday from 12:30 pm until the time of service.
Ruby passed away on Tuesday, May 03, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare. She was born on Dec 08, 1917 in Montgomery Co. TN to Wallace Hester and Louise Heggie Hester. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband John E. Brown and daughter, Dorothy Herald. She was retired from BF Goodrich and was a member of Kirkwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Faye ( Charles) Hand, Frances (Herbert) Stanley; sons, Wayne Chester, John (Sue) Chester Jr.; step daughters, Virginia (Donnie) Young, Patti (Robert) Payne; niece, Beverly (Darrell) Cravath, 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Michael and Mark Sheppard, Jimmy Byrd, David Shepard, Rick Wetzel, Brandon Langley.
