Juana Beatriz Montalvo-Roman, 85, Clarksville, passed peacefully surrounded by her family, September 24, 2010, at her residence. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Theo Ebulueme officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Sykes Funeral Home and from 11:00 A.M. until hour of service Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. A Rosary will be held 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Sykes Funeral Home.
A Clarksville resident for 44 years, Mrs. Montalvo-Roman was born to Manuel Montalvo Hernandez and Maria Monserrate Santiago Martinez in Puerto Rico on August 7, 1925. She was preceded from life by her husband, Carmelo Roman-Vazquez; daughter, Awilda Roman, granddaughter Cara Danel and son-in-law Gary Solberg. She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She is survived by daughters, Luz Edivia Rives, Edna Liz Solberg, Margarita Markoff; sons, Jose, Ferdinand, Carmelo Jr., Malvin, Charley, Johnny, Dennis and Raymond Roman; 32 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a large extended family. Pallbearers will be Jose, Dennis, Charley, Raymond, Malvin and Carmelo Roman. Escorts will be Johnny and Ferdinand Roman.
