Rowland Goodrich Turner III, age 47, passed away August 6, 2024. Formally a resident of Kings Mountain, NC, he currently resided in Ardmore, TN.
A 1995 graduate of Kings Mountain High School, he served his country in the United States Army. He continued to support the Army as a Crew Chief servicing Black Hawk Helicopters in Fort Campbell, KY and Yulista Integrated Solutions, Huntsville, AL.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Leigh Mauney Broadwell of Kings Mountain, Rowland Goodrich Turner II, stepfather, Jarrett Broadwell, Aunt Martha Jane and Grandparents Rowland and Natalie Turner, W.K. and Mary Mauney of Kings Mountain, NC.
He is survived by Nicole Turner and his sons, Alex Turner 17 and Austin Turner 14 of Clarksville, TN. His sisters, Natalie Elizabeth Turner Manning (Michael), Summer Turner, Jennifer Waterson (Luke) and Jennifer Broadwell, brothers William and Robert Turner and Ryan Broadwell (Elaina), stepmothers Jeannie Lybrook Turner and Harriett Broadwell. His Aunt Sarah Mauney Faunce (David), Uncle William Kemp Mauney III (Debbie), 4 cousins and 6 nieces and 2 nephews. Special friends like family, Jim Bob and Sonia Roderick of Ardmore, TN.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday August 20, 2024 at Sykes Funeral Home 424 Franklin St. Clarksville TN 37040 at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until the time of service. Celebration of Rich's life will continue with stories, food, and drinks at Joes Garage 304 N 2nd St, Clarksville, TN 37040 following the service from 4:15pm to 6pm.
Rich will be laid to rest in Kings Mountain with his mother, grandparents and Aunt Martha Jane in their family mausoleum later this fall. Details to follow.
