Rodney Randash

d. December 5, 2015

Rodney Dale Randash met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, face to face at 1:07 am on December 05, 2015 from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He passed following complications from an infection, surrounded by his family. He was born to William Anthony Randash and Florence Mae (Medler) Randash at his maternal Grandmother‘s home in Mohall, ND, on Jan 03, 1949. He graduated from Kenmare High School, Kenmare, ND, in 1968. After graduation, he joined the US Navy. He was trained as a Corpsman in San Diego, CA, and served in Vietnam and Okinawa, Japan. In 1975, he married Linda Broden in Kenmare, ND. They lived in Kenmare, Mohall, and then Minot, ND. In 1988 they moved to Missoula, MT where they lived until July, 2010, when they moved to Clarksville, TN. Despite this last move, Rodney continued to consider himself a Montanan to the end! (He loved to watch his Griz!) He is survived by his wife, Linda, and children: Joshua (Bridget) Randash of Hinesville, GA, and Emily (Gary Werito) Randash of Albuquerque, NM. He dearly loved his 7 grandchildren: Caitlin Shelor, Madeline Shelor, Brandon Shelor, Lillian Shelor, Evelyn Randash, Allison Randash, and Byron Randash. His latest joy was to be a great-grandfather to Guinevere Shelor. He is also survived by his sister, Peggy (LeRoy) Schweitzer of Berthold, ND, and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Randash of Surrey, ND, and Carol Randash of North Judson, IN, and numerous neices and nephews who all were special to him. He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Florence, brothers: William, Larry (wife: Pat), Daniel, and sister: Linda. Rodney was a kind, gentle, humble man who modeled unconditional love to those who knew him. He had a strong faith which was shown in his actions more than spoken, but the many medical problems he endured and overcame confirmed for him that he was watched over by a loving merciful God. He is greatly missed. There will be a funeral in Clarksville, TN, at Grace Lutheran Church at 11 am on Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, but he will be laid to rest in the mountains of Montana that he loved, at Libby, MT, within the next year.
