Robert "Wayne" Harrison

A Celebration of Life service for Robert "Wayne" Harrison, 76, of Clarksville, TN, will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Bro. Jeff Burris will officiate. Following the service, he will be laid to rest alongside his wife at Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Wayne was born in Montgomery County, TN to Angis and Evie Sykes Harrison. He was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Bethlehem and worked in the car sales business since 1972. He was a graduate of Austin Peay State University majoring in History and held a certificate in teaching. Wayne was a member of Masonic Lodge #89, former City of Clarksville Council member from 2000-2008, an Al Menah Shriner, and Nashville Scottish Rights member. He was an avid golfer, loved playing his guitar, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.

In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Anne Harrison; brother, Johnny Dale Harrison; and grandson, Jack Kennedy. He is survived by his son, Rob Kennedy; step-children: Kelly (Dee) Tompkins- Appleton, Lisa (Danny Birchfield) Barton, Glen (Gina) Appleton, Jr., Mary Kathryn (Dan) Carlson, Michelle (Wayne) Jernigan, and Jon Appleton; sister, Priscilla Blamer; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
