Robert "Lee" Sykes

A Celebration of Life service for Robert " Lee " Sykes, age 86, of Clarksville, TN, will be on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 1:00PM with Bro. Jerry Steele and Bro. Joel Nulty officiating. Burial will follow at Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM  and again on Thursday before the service from 11:30 AM until the time of the service.

Lee was born on October 23, 1935, in Montgomery County, Tn to Gholson and Evie Jackson Sykes. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Lee was employed at Frosty Morn for 28 years until it's closing. He later retired from The Zinc Plant. When he wasn't working outside the home he could be found tending to the family farm. He also loved fishing and playing Rook.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In addition to his parents Lee is preceded in death by siblings Pearl Harrison and Howard Sykes. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Betty Sykes, children; David (Sandi) Sykes, Connie England, Phillip (Cindy) Sykes, and Linda ( Franklin) Koellein, siblings; Lucille Sanders, Louise Dozier, Mary (Hershal) Basham, Doshia (Bill) Robertson, 9 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 6 step great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild, and sister in law Sue Sykes.
