Robert Earl Maynard, 89, Cunningham, TN, died Monday, July 20, 2009, at his home. The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. John Black officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Maynard was born August 1, 1919 in Montgomery County, son of the late Barnes and Laura Yarbrough Maynard. He was preceded in death by his son Greg Maynard; grandson Jeff Bullard, and sister Pauline Sinks. Mr. Maynard was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, retired from the Maynard Insurance Agency, past Master of the Palmyra Lodge #747, Scottish Rite Member, Shriner and a 32nd degree Mason. Survivors include his wife of sixty nine years Laura Hembree Maynard; daughters Jayne Daughtery, husband George, of Clarksville; and Kathy Maynard Rigsby, husband Michael of Jacksonville, FL.; daughter-in-law Edna Denton Maynard, his grandchildren are Robert G. Maynard, Jr.; Amy (George) Stallings; Kellie (Curtis) Rodenhaber; Lindsay Dickerson, and seven great grandchildren.
