Robert Joseph Madden, 67, Cunningham, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev.John Black and Bro. James Green officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the church. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Madden was born January 30, 1942 in Waverly, TN, son of the late Elmer B. and Luda P. Durham Madden. He was preceded in death by his wife Margie Morrow Madden. Mr. Madden was an Engineer and member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Survived by his son Kenneth Madden; and daughter Kim Madden-Queener, both of Cunningham. His grandchildren are James (Megan) Madden; Jonathon (Meagan) Queener: Merissa Queener; and Drew Madden. Brothers-in-law Richard Morrow and Ralph Carter. Pallbearers will be Jonathon Queener, James Madden; Bobby Harvey, David Trotter, Mark Neblett and Blake Neblett.
