Robert Lee Kennedy, 83, Clarksville, died Monday, July 5, 2010, at his daughter's home. The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sonny Wise officiating. Burial will be in Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Kennedy was born April 9, 1927 in Montgomery County, TN, son of the late Ramey Kennedy and Mable Lois Underwood Kennedy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Grant Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy was a veteran of the US Navy, and retired Press Operator at BF Goodrich Company, a 50 year member of Moose Lodge #1027 and a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Kennedy is survived by his daughter Shirley (Dale) Dunn of Clarksville, grandchildren; Rob (Robin) Dunn, Kayce (Robert) German, and great-grandchildren Cooper and Emery Dunn and Isaac and Kennedy Marie German. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
