Robert Ivey

Robert Ivey age 78, passed away on Thursday, Feb 18, 2016 after an extended illness. He was born on Dec 08, 1937 in Iron River, Michigan to Leonard and Agnes (Deloria) Ivey. Robert graduated from Iron River High school in 1955. In 1955 he also married his loving wife of 60 years, Diane Roberts. Robert joined the United States Coast Guard in 1955 and served until 1959. Robert was an electrical superintendent for M.J. Electric of Iron Mountain, MI. Robert was an active member of the Iron Rivers Elks #1671 from 1970 until present. He served as the State President of the Michigan Elks Association from 1988 to 1989. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister; Mary Jane Ivey, brother; Tom Ivey and one grandchild; Mikey Burke.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Ivey, daughters; Lynn (Paul) Junkmann of Clarksville, TN, Sue ( Will) Barber of Clarksville, TN, sons; Bob (Robin) Ivey of Dayton OH, Ron (Mil) Ivey of Fort Payne, AL, three brothers; Ted (Karen) Ivey, John (Pam) Ivey, Len (Sue) Ivey, seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and two loving pups; Molly and Sparky. Robert is also survived by one very special sister and brother in law, Gail and Ralph Valine and many nieces and nephews.
